I am feeling lucky no more?

It is a know fact that google ranks wikipedia entries higher in it’s search results. It should therefore replace the underused ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’  button to ‘Take me to Wikipedia’ button and save everyone the trouble!

One Response to “Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” button renamed to “Take me to Wikipedia” result button (Joke)”

No, I don’t agree. There are numerous cases when Google doesn’t rank Wikipedia as the first result, although the information desired by the searcher is also posted on the encyclopedia.

Recently, Google introduced a special operator to allow users to search for information posted on Wikipedia. Take for example the “info digg” phrase that returns the following information provided by Wikipedia: Digg — … is a community-based popularity website with an emphasis on technology and science articles.
