Two weeks have gone by - not through forgetting, rather blatent laziness. I’ve been busy with other things, so this week’s is actually remotely funny.

Windows 7 will be in 32-bit
March 8th, 2007
Source: Winsupersite
Q: Will Windows Vienna be available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions like Vista?
A: No, Vienna will almost certainly ship only in 64-bit versions. This is in keeping with Microsoft’s x64 migration schedule.
How wrong. Sorry Paul but you’ve got this one mixed up once again, and what a surprise - we can hardly get anything accurate from this man. Microsoft has pledged in the past that they will provide 32-bit operating systems until 2012, of which then 64-bit takes precedence. VistaBase has an article somewhere but it doesn’t seem to be working so I’ll update this page later.

Vista sure did empty my recycling bin…

Product 7 - A secret Apple Product for $99,999.99?
March 5th, 2007
I came across an item on Amazon. It cost $99,999.99 and weighs 13 pounds. There is no image of this product and they do not have it in stock right now. There is one customer review though. I think it is a hi-spec computer for designers. What do you think? Leave a comment if you know anything about this mysterious ‘Product 7′.

MPAA: We Were Only Testing Forest Blog
March 1st, 2007
“The MPAA have responded to the claims that they illegally used Patrick Robin’s blogging software. They say they were only testing it, and that the blog was “never advertised to the public in any way”. I wonder what would happen if a filesharer said he was just “testing” a movie.”

An end to all these Viagra spam emails?
February 11th, 2007
From BBC News:
The anti-impotence drug Viagra will be available on the High Street without a prescription from Valentine’s Day. Boots the chemist is introducing a trial scheme at three of its branches in Manchester. Men aged between 30 and 65 will be able to buy four pills for £50 after a consultation with the pharmacist.
So now that Viagra is out on the market in the UK, does this mean that the end of the Viagra orientated spam emails? We don’t need to buy them over the Internet any more (not like we actually did anyway) so can we stop with the Viagra spam emails please? ![]()
