In an effort to try and find some more information on Windows Live Events and Calendar, I looked through the Spaces help file, to see if that’s been updated with the information soon to hit the press… when I found this.

I personally think it’s a typo, and that Windows Update will not become Windows Live Update. I ran this by one of the guys at LiveSide to see what they thought - they thought pretty much the same as me. Could be something, most likely not. For a start, Windows Update is a computer based service, although runs as an online service. Now that Windows Vista has been released, the website version of Windows Update has now been ported to a Control Panel application, so it’s very doubtful that this is anything in-particular.

But just thought I’d bring it to light anyway :)

Update: The Wall Street Journal says the Deal is not happening!

What could probably be the largest acquisition in IT history, Microsoft is trying to get Yahoo to come back to the table for takeover talk which Yahoo has previously turned away. The lucrative 50 billion USD offer could change things this time though.

Microsoft is really pushing hard as to play catch-up in fields such as search and to counter the ever growing presence of Google on the Internet.

Head over to New York Post for the exclusive…

I’ve seen this a few times on different websites, and there’s a very simple temporary fix to sort out the problem, only it doesn’t fix anything really long term and you have to keep doing it.  Let me show you what I mean - below is the Bink.nu header and logo which is in PNG format. The top image is where IE7 doesn’t render it properly, whilst the bottom image is what it really should look like. See if you can notice the difference in the images.

It may not be blatently obvious, but one is in 32-bit graphics, whereas the top is in 16-bit graphics. But why? I asked someone on the IE7 team to clarify this one and here’s what I got:

Useless. Anyone else having this issue or is it just me and the other 50 other people who I’ve asked?
