KissYouTube - Easy way to download YouTube Videos
March 5th, 2007

KissyouTube allows you to enter YouTube video URL’s and it will give generate a download link for you to download the selected video in a .flv format. Or you can just add kiss in front of a YouTube URL.
For e.g: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Iw1uEVaQpA becomes http://www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=2Iw1uEVaQpA
I don’t really download YouTube videos but this maybe useful to a few YouTube addicts. Nice to see how people come up with ways to create stuff around YouTube and MySpace Social Networking sites.

Search and Download MP3’s using Google
February 12th, 2007
1. Go to www.google.com
2. At the box where you search, type in this format.
?intitle:index.of? mp3 ***
The *** is for you to replace it with the artist and song title.
3. Click on the Google Search button.
4. Now you should see a list of all the websites that has the MP3 that you’re looking for.
Here’s a step-by-step example of searching for Beyonce and Jay-Z’s “Deja Vu” MP3.
1. Go to google and type “?intitle:index.of? mp3 beyonce dejavu”
![]()
2. Here are the results. Not necessarily that the #1 result contains the MP3. Sometimes you have to try a few sites.
![]()
3. Found Beyonce - Deja Vu, but it’s a freemasons club mix version.
4. Clicking on that link and it brought me to a site where I can start downloading the MP3.
5. Right click on the text that says “Download Now” and select “Save Target As” for Internet Explorer or “Save Link As” for Firefox. It will start downloading…
What are you doing here is entering into a server and downloading directly from it. You can also specify a different extension such as AVI for movies, PDF for ebooks and etc… Just change the mp3 to the extension you’re looking for.

Windows Mobile 6 impending release
February 8th, 2007
Engadget, one of the world’s biggest blog websites, has come up with a whole load of Windows Mobile 6 (codenamed Crossbow) screenshots and images. Not only that, they have a whole wealth of reports and information regarding this new software.
Windows Live will play heavily within Windows Mobile 6, as more and more people are working on the go using their mobile devices to keep them connected - I do it, most people do it. The problem is with all Windows Mobile software, is that to get the new Crossbow release once it is out in the world, we’ll have to buy brand new mobile devices which support the software. It’s not entirely fair, but I guess it’s how it goes.

Disable Snap Previews
February 6th, 2007
Snap preview? What is it?
Snap preview is a feature that pulls up a small, in-browser pop-up preview of a linked site when you hover over it. It is really annoying. Do you remember seeing it somewhere? TechCrunch perhaps? (So tempted to put a link to TechCrunch with a snap preview feature on it right now!!) Well it is really irritating and many other bloggers agree too. Just because a high-profile blog uses it doesn’t mean it is good.
“So.. How do I disable it?”
“You just need to go to the Snap website and download a cookie that deactivates all of those preview windows. Install it, refresh any offending sites, and you’ll be clear of those irritating little bubbles. It’ll only work until you clear your cookies”
